From Art Nouveau Offices to Global Recognition
The story of Škoda is deeply rooted in history – and so are its walls. The original office building of Laurin & Klement, constructed in 1911 in Mladá Boleslav, remains a powerful symbol of this enduring legacy. Surviving two world wars, a devastating fire, and decades of political change, even the windows of this building have a story to tell.
These stunning Art Nouveau glass panes, etched with the L&K logo, have witnessed over a century of transformation – from the Austro-Hungarian Empire to modern-day Europe. As Škoda expanded, adapted, and endured, those windows stood firm, reflecting not just the outside world but also the unshakable spirit of the brand.
