Our bestseller, now with plug-in hybrid drive
Get around town without emissions
Plug into the new era of urban travel. Charge your battery and head off into the city’s lanes and avenues on your everyday errands in silence and comfort. All thanks to the electric drive with a WLTP-verified range of up to 63 km, which releases no emissions into the streets.
Set off on long routes with confidence
For longer business trips, out-of-town excursions or holidays, you’ll appreciate the 1.4 TSI petrol engine with a range of hundreds of kilometres and a total power output of 150 kW. For your maximum driving comfort there is an automatic 6-speed DSG.
Charge easily, both at home and on the road
In the iV, the all-too-familiar refuelling at a pump is complemented by battery recharging. Unlike a petrol station, however, you can charge the battery more often and in many places: in the garage at home, at work, or at a shopping centre.
Get enough room for the whole family
The Octavia Wagon iV will cater perfectly to your business needs during the week, and cope with the whole family at weekends. You can easily fit everything you need into the 490-litre luggage compartment, with plenty of space left over for front and rear passengers.
Brake energy regeneration
The Octavia iV is fitted with brake engine regeneration that slows down the car when the brake pedal is depressed, and the accelerator is released, and stores the energy that has been recovered back in the vehicle battery. The regenerative braking intensity can be set at multiple levels.
Introducing the plug-in hybrid powertrain
The Škoda Octavia iV combines a 1.4 litre petrol engine with an 85kW electric motor to give you 204PS of power. It also gives you 350Nm of torque. The CO2 emissions are between 23 – 27g/km and the all-electric range is up to 63km (WLTP tested)*.
Columbus infotainment system
The Octavia Wagon iV’s standard infotainment system is the freestanding 10″ Columbus system, which can be touch, gesture or voice controlled. The standard radio is accompanied by navigation, a connection to your phone via the SmartLink interface (Apple CarPlay, Android Auto a MirrorLink™) and the possibility of playing online radio stations and streaming services. You can zoom in on a map or control the volume with the touch-slider.
Natural voice control
With the Laura voice assistant, your car will be hanging on your every word. Now you can control the car with Laura, an assistant who understands normal speech. Laura will help you to control the navigation, media, infotainment, air-conditiong and text messages, while letting you concentrate better on the driving.
Up to 5 USB-C ports
The all-new Octavia Wagon iV is equipped as standard with two modern backlit front USB-C ports for data transmission and recharging. Three additional ports are included, one by the rear-view mirror to charge a camera and two for rear passengers to charge their devices.
Ambient lighting
The Octavia Wagon iV infotainment system is fitted with additional ambient lighting colours, giving you the opportunity to customise the look and feel of the interior cabin.
Wireless charging
The storage compartment in the centre console of the Octavia Wagon enables wireless charging and wireless connection to Smartlink.
Front-door umbrella or hand brush storage compartment
The Octavia iV has a compartment in both front doors, including an umbrella or hand brush in the driver’s door, in case you get caught in the rain or want to give the car a sweep. The compartment is water-resistant so wet umbrellas can be stored here and the water from the umbrellas is drained outside the car. Both features are also optionally available for the second compartment.
Integrated funnel in the lid of the windscreen washer tank
You can also find Simply Clever solutions under the bonnet. The Octavia iV features a cleverly designed rubber lid for the washer fluid tank. It opens into a practical funnel so you can easily top up the fluid without making a mess.
Electric child safety lock
Using the mechanical rear-door child safety lock requires foresight when you’re sometimes in the car with children, other times with adults. You can activate and deactivate the rear-door locks electronically from the driver’s seat whenever you need to.
If you’re looking for protection from the sun’s rays or peace and quiet for your work, retractable sun blinds – completely hidden away when not in use – can be simply pulled up to protect the interior.

Automatic retractable cover
The automatic retractable cover perfectly covers anything you are carrying in the luggage compartment. Its main advantage comes into play when you want to put something in or take something out of the boot. After the tailgate is opened, the cover automatically moves back one notch.
Boot nets
Boot nets are designed to secure transported items and prevent them from sliding around when the vehicle is on the move. The elastic material has undergone strength tests and is designed to hold items weighing up to 1.5 kg. The nets are fitted by hooking them onto the lashing eyes in the luggage compartment.
Cargo fasteners
Items can be secured in the boot using cargo fasteners. Just slide your boxes and shopping bags, for example, between the fasteners and they will no longer slide around. The cargo fasteners can be folded away and stored in the boot.
Electrically retractable tow bar (optional)
The optional electrically retractable tow bar is extremely practical. The tow bar with integrated socket is unlatched using a button on the side of the luggage compartment.
Mobile phone pockets
The pockets on the rear side of the front-seat backrests are great for storage. But they are a little too big for a small smartphone. The Octavia Wagon resolves this with an additional little pocket that is perfect for rear passengers’ phones.
1.5-litre bottle holders in front doors
We understand that the road seems much longer if everyone is feeling dry and thirsty. That’s why there’s a special space in the front door panel to store a full 1.5 litre bottle of water. It will sit there safely without getting squashed, ready for when you need it.
1.5-litre bottle holders in rear doors
As well as the large space to store a water bottle in the front doors, there’s further capacity in the rear doors too, perfectly designed to hold a 1.5 litre bottle securely while not in use.
Jumbo box with adjustable armrest
The jumbo box is a practical storage compartment located in the adjustable armrest between the front seats, and is easily accessible by the driver and the co-driver.
Adaptive cruise control
The adaptive cruise contol (ACC) maintains a safe distance from the vehicle ahead at a selected speed, controlling the engine and actuating the brakes to automatically accelerate or decelerate as needed. The mechanism combines the cruise control system with a radar-based distance controller.
Travel assist
Travel assist integrates several systems and functions. When they are interconnected, the car can make driving a lot easier and increase travelling comfort. Once activated, travel assist can automatically stop and restart, keep the car in lane, or follow other vehicles in a traffic jam.
Adaptive lane assist
This assist is designed to keep you in the centre of the lane. This system works in conjunction with a camera to recognise lane markings on the road, including yellow lines during roadworks, traffic cones, and other roadside or lane borders. The enhanced “adaptive” variant (only available as part of travel assist) means that the system intervenes in an attempt to keep the vehicle in the selected track within the traffic lane, and the car does not “weave”.
Traffic jam assist
Traffic jam assist makes it easier to drive a car in traffic jams. It draws on the adaptive cruise control and adaptive lane assist to start, brake and turn the car to copy the movement of surrounding vehicles in a traffic jam.
Emergency assist
Emergency assist reduces risk of an incident if the driver is not feeling well. If adaptive lane assist detects that the driver does not have hands on the steering wheel even after a warning alert, emergency assist is activated, decelerates the car to halt while keeping it in lane and activating the hazard warning lights.
Front assist with collision avoidance assist
The front assist is a collision-alert safety system. Faced with an unavoidable collision, it applies the brakes to minimise the consequences. It also performs an emergency stop if a pedestrian or cyclist dangerously attempts to cross the path of the car.
In a critical situation where front assist intervenes by braking and the driver indicates they are taking evasive action by the way they move the steering wheel, collision avoidance assist makes targeted interventions in the steering to help drive around the obstacle.
Side assist
Thanks to two radar sensors at the rear of the car, the side assist detects vehicles approaching from behind or that are in the car’s blind spot. You are informed of this using an LED signal on the inside of the wing mirror housings. Side assist can detect vehicles up to 70 m away and thus also effectively warns you of hazardous situations on motorways and dual carriageways.
Crew protect assist
The system pre-tensions the front seat belts in the event of imminent collision or in unstable driving situations and engages with the ESC to close the side windows almost fully in order to prevent foreign objects from entering the vehicle. The systém works with the front and rear radars and the rollover sensor.
Exit warning
This new safety feature is another of side assist’s complementary functions. Exit warning visually and acoustically warns you and other passengers, when, for example, you are exiting a parallel parked car, if opening the door could result in a collision with another vehicle, a cyclist or an electric scooter. Exit warning makes use of side assist’s rear radars and monitors the area behind and along the sides of the car up to a distance of 35 m.
Park assist (optional)
The optional park assist system semi-automatically guides the car into perpendicular parking spaces, and in and out of parallel spots. The system assists you by automatically carrying out optimal steering wheel movements to park within the lines, you just have to accelerate and brake. Park assist can also finish off a parking manoeuvre that has already started.
Manoeuvre assist
To avoid those parking situations where you don’t brake in time in response to the front or rear distance alerts, the Octavia Wagon iV incorporates manoeuvre assist, a feature that stops the car to avoid collision.
KESSY
Open or close the door, start or stop the engine, all without having to search for your key? That is the comfort provided by the optional KESSY system. Simply pull the door handle and the vehicle will unlock automatically. Start the car by pushing the button located to the right of the steering column.
Rear-view camera
Providing you with comfort and orientation during a parking procedure, the Rear-view camera uses a camera located on the tailgate handle. Working with the infotainment screen, the system shows the space behind the car and indicates dynamic guide lines, based on the vehicle width.
Bi-LED matrix lights
Available on the Octavia RS, the high-end headlights use LEDs for all of their functions. Compared to standard headlights, they are more powerful and, on top of that, feature a side light and the cutting-edge matrix function. LED technologies’ many upsides include their longer life and the fact that they are less of a drain on power.
Matrix function
Using a rear-view mirror camera that detects light sources from oncoming vehicles, the matrix function of the full LED headlights masks out the light distribution around other vehicles or traffic signs in real time with individually switchable LED chips in each headlight. This results in a perfectly illuminated road ahead and greater safety.
Full LED tail lights
The full LED tail lights incorporate diodes to play every role. Their specialities include a tail light in both parts of the lamp and an eye-catching dynamic rear indicator. In addition, the lights contribute to the coming/leaving home animated function – when the car is locked/unlocked the tail lighting gradually lights up from the outside towards the inside and back towards the outside. This is accompanied by flashing indicators.
Driver and passenger airbags
They protect the driver and the passenger from injury in case of impact.
Curtain airbags
Passengers can rely on all-round protection in an accident.
Driver knee airbags
Additional protection for the driver.

The official fuel consumption, emissions, and EV range figures determined by the WLTP test should be used as a guide only, or for vehicle to vehicle comparison. Actual results may vary due to factors such as driving or environmental conditions. For further information, please visit https://www.skoda.co.nz/owners/wltp
The Worldwide Harmonized Light-Duty Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP) is designed to provide a standardised measurement and enables the consumer to make reliable comparisons between vehicles in terms of energy (fuel and/or electricity) consumption, emissions, and electric vehicle range. However, it should be noted that the results of this test may not accurately reflect the actual fuel consumption, emissions, or range that a driver might experience in the real world. Actual results may vary depending on various factors such as driving style, road conditions, temperature, weather, vehicle load, and maintenance. Therefore, the WLTP results should be considered as an indicator of the vehicle’s performance and not as a guarantee of the actual energy consumption, emissions, or range that a driver will experience in real-world driving conditions, or for making a vehicle-to-vehicle comparison. All WLTP test values are provided in accordance with New Zealand Land transport Rule: Vehicle Efficiency and Emissions Data 2022.
