Whether there are four or five of you, no need to fear. The Fabia has enough room for everyone. The outer seats have been thoughtfully shaped for you to travel in comfort. The Fabia remains top-class in practicality and ingenuity. The luggage compartment has been enlarged to 380 litres, beating its rivals hands down. By folding down the rear-seat backrests, you’ll increase the boot’s capacity to a full 1,190 litres. Bolero infotainment

The Skoda 8.25″ infotainment system has an LCD touchscreen that features proximity sensors. As soon as a finger comes near it, the system switches automatically to operating mode. Pinch-to-zoom function familiar to smartphones make operation easy.

SmartLink and wireless charging

The storage compartment in the centre console enables wireless charging and wired connection to SmartLink.

SmartLink provides you with a connection between your smartphone and the in-built infotainment via Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MirrorLink™. Play music, deal with your text messages and calls, or listen to your favourite podcast.

Digital dash

A perfect overview is provided by the freely programmable digital dash – 8″ digital instrument cluster, which offers a choice of five display layouts. On-board instrument data along with other information, such as media playback and phone, are displayed on a beautiful 8″ digital display.

Natural voice recognition

With the Laura voice assistant, your car will be hanging on your every word to do your bidding. Curt orders are consigned to the past. Now you can control the car with Laura, an assistant who understands normal speech. Laura will help you to control the navigation, media, infotainment, air-conditioning and text messages, while letting you concentrate better on the driving.

Clever details

umbrella compartment

The Fabia has a compartment in driver’s doors, including an umbrella, in case you get caught in the rain. The compartment is water-resistant so wet umbrella can be stored here and the water from the umbrella is drained outside the car.

Mobile phone pockets

The pockets on the rear side of the front-seat backrests are great for storage. But they are a little too big for a small smartphone. The Fabia resolves this with an additional little pocket that is perfect for rear passengers’ phones.

Jumbo box

The jumbo box is a practical storage compartment located in the armrest between the front seats, and is easily accessible by the driver and the front passenger.

<p>Where would you place your coat, jacket or umbrella? The <strong>coat shelf underneath the boot covering</strong> offers space for things like these to keep them clean and tidy.</p>

Cargo element

In typical Škoda style, the Fabia’s boot also offers hugely practical features. Items can be secured in the boot with a cargo fastener. Just slide your boxes and shopping bags, for example, so that they are sandwiched between the side of the boot and the fastener. This will stop them from sliding around. The cargo fastener can be folded away and stored in the boot floor.

Hooks in the boot

The great variability and use of the Fabia’s boot also benefits from two sturdy hooks on the sides. They are designed to hang items or baggage which would otherwise be unstable or would not fit on the boot floor. You will appreciate them, for example, when you go shopping or need to transport your sports gear around.

Net system

Thanks to the cleverly designed network of meshing, hooks and shelves in the boot, there is no need to compromise between agility and practicality. The net system with securing hooks prevents smaller items from moving around.

Comfort features

KESSY

You no longer need to be holding your key in order to open and lock your car. The KESSY (Keyless Entry, Start and Exit system) control unit recognises the key up to 1.5 metres away from the car. The vehicle unlocks automatically when the front door handles or tailgate are operated. The engine starts at the push of a button.

Two rear USB-C's

Good news! No more quarrels over USB ports. The Fabia Monte Carlo has them in spades. Two USB-C ports are prepared for the rear seat passengers.

Panoramic sunroof

The large optional panoramic roof delivers plenty of daylight into the interior. The multi-layer glass has a low emissivity layer to ensure one part of the solar radiation spectrum reflecting away during the summer months, thus contributing to passenger comfort. In winter it reflects the heat radiated by passengers back into the car’s interior, thereby improving passengers’ thermal comfort.

Armrest with two cup holders

The rear folding armrest not only makes travelling comfortable, but also incorporates a holder for two bottles, where backseat passengers can conveniently put their drinks.

Travel assist

Front assist with predictive pedestrian protection

The front assist is a collision-alert safety system. Faced with an unavoidable collision, it applies the brakes to minimise the consequences. It also performs an emergency stop if a pedestrian or cyclist dangerously attempts to cross the path of the car.

Driver alert (fatigue detection)

Driver alert reduces the risk of a fatigue-induced emergency. By monitoring driver behaviour, the system assesses the degree of driver fatigue and, if necessary, warns of the need for a rest and break in the journey.

Adaptive cruise control

The adaptive cruise control (standard in the Fabia Monte Carlo) maintains a safe distance from the vehicle ahead at a selected speed, controlling the engine and actuating the brakes to automatically accelerate or decelerate as needed. The system combines a cruise control system with a radar-based distance controller and is active up to 210 km/h.

Lane assist

The lane assist recognises an unintended departure from the lane, providing a visual message, and initiates corrective steering. It is activated at speeds above 65 km/h provided that there are recognisable lane markings on the road surface and the turn signal has not been turned on.

Comfort technology

Rain-light assist

The Fabia Monte Carlo is fitted with a rain and light sensor to automatically activate and control the speed of the wipers. The light sensor activates the car’s lights automatically when the intensity of ambient light falls below a specified value (for example when driving through a tunnel or at dusk).

Rear-view camera with washer

Providing you with comfort and orientation during a parking procedure, the Rear-view camera uses a camera located on the fifth door handle. Combined with Škoda infotainments, the system uses their displays to show the space behind the car and to indicate the driving line, based on the vehicle width.

Hill start assist

The hill start assist (HSA) allows for easy hill starts without the risk of unwanted backward roll or the need to use the handbrake. When you release the brake pedal after stopping on a hill, the HSA keeps the pressure in the brake system for 1 or 2 seconds, enough time for you to set off.

Front and rear parking sensors

Parking the Fabia Monte Carlo is easy due to its excellent manoeuvrability. What is more, you can be assisted by parking sensors integrated in the rear and front bumper, which check the car’s distance from any obstacles. Front parking sensors are optional.

KESSY

Open or close the door, start or stop the engine, all without having to search for your key? That is the comfort provided by the KESSY system. Simply pull the door handle and the vehicle will unlock automatically. Start the car by pushing the button located to the right of the steering column.

Climatronic air conditioning

The climatronic air conditioning lets you enjoy the comfort of an automatically maintained temperature in the car. The humidity sensor reduces windscreen fogging and enhances climate comfort.

The Fabia is delivered with standard-fit LED headlights incorporating diodes for all of their functions. LED technologies’ many upsides include their longer life and the fact that they are less of a drain on power.

Full LED headlights

The Fabia Full LED headlights use LED for all functions, but also boast advanced features such as variable light distribution and dynamic headlight range control.

Tail lights with LED

The Fabia is standard-supplied with tail lights with a new crystalline design incorporating diodes for the reverse and fog lights.
